It's a trap!
So, after leaving Hudiksvall in the most complete freezing calm, the wind picked up with in my face with a strong sea and stream. As a result, it took me 5h and 25 nm of sailing to barely win 15 nm of southing in a pouring rain…
So I took shelter in a small inlet where there was a buoy.
As the forecast predicted, a strong wind blew from the South all night and turn to an even stronger wind from the North in the morning. This was actually a problem when trying to leave the inlet I'd sheltered for the night: sailboat are susceptible to the wind even when running on the engine. While trying to manoeuvre in the narrow path to exit the inlet, the wind with coming with full strength on the side and I touched an unchartered rock. So I doubled back, and stayed another night on the buoy. Fortunately, on the Sunday morning it was better, and I could leave this inlet without issues. This was such a frustrating time, though. On top of touching the rock, the conditions once out of the inlet would have been tough, but at least wind and waves would have been in the right direction and I could have made a lot of ground…
