Tcheren deya (child of the mountain)
I'm finally reaching the Swedish High Coast (Högakusten), sadly it doesn't translate that well in pictures (but I am enjoying the landscapes, sorry, you can join next time). The High Coast is so called because the ground there rose some 300m since the last glaciation, creating landscapes of cliffs.
What was it for the wiki-break, onto the sailing.
The day started late (sails up at 11) and with the rest of yesterday's wind and sea. So much so that I had to take in the reef I'd let go while in Härnösand's inlet. It wasn't quite as windy as yesterday, but the current was still pretty strong and made my successive tacks look too flat for my liking… Around 15:00, I was able to shake off the reef again as the wind was still decreasing. Alas, the current didn't really and even though by 17:00 the sea was quite calm it was god-damn impossible to make good gains going upwind.
So instead of going to Ulvön as I intended, I'm now planning to stop in Bönhamn.
I've already sailed 30 nm of zigzagging, had I been able to go straight, that would have taken me to Ulvön already 🤣
