Getting started
After the quick trip for the guard duty, I've not moved in the boat for “good”, or at least for the foreseeable future. Elvira is still on land, but I'm starting to work on her.
It's time for some action, or it should be, at least. I've moved in my boat, it's a bit Spartiate: I left most of the cushions/benches and loads of other stuff still in the club's storage space. Still, it's enough to live in and to get going with some of the work to do.
I've spotted one more thing that needs fixing before Elvira can take to the sea, my anode on the propeller is well advanced and needs to be replaced. I've also noticed that during my stunt in Gräddö last October, I damaged a small part next to the anode that also requires fixing.
While I am around Stockholm, I also took the opportunity to go jamming (of course) and to go give a hand at Beckholmen to get another sailboat ready: The Sunbeam, a nice old vessel from 1905.
I had to order some parts for the engine maintenance and to replace the anode. It took a long time to arrive. So in the meantime, I got started on some other projects I had in mind for the boat. Building a small support for my clothes to let more air circulate underneath, and a small tiller extension, so I can stand more upright while stirring.
The well-used anode.
One of the nice morning.
Angle-grinding for Sunbeam's new gaff
To make things easier while I'm here and when I'll sail around, ...
I got myself a second-hand folding bike.

From a vague idea, ...
to the beginning of something.
And again, rough plan
