Cycling in Öland
No wind whatsoever in the forecast, so instead let's unfold the bike and cycle more or less randomly.
In the morning, there was next to now wind. The forecast was not really better. So I just change mooring place for one with a bit more depth. Once that was done, I took out the bike from the boat, unfolded it and onwards we go.
I didn't really have a proper plan to where to go or anything, I just looked outside for signs to follow, checked quickly on the Swedish app Naturkarta to see if they had suggestions. That last idea sent me to a “cycling path” through the grazing field that disappeared into marches… So I doubled back.
My semi-random rambling brought me to funny cairns, many fields, and windmills, a café, beaches, bird sanctuaries, nice stony houses, an organic farm that was selling their products directly, etc.
All in all it was a well spent day, the bike was really useful, and I definitely deserved a locally made ice cream after that!
the path that led to nowhere 😅
each bird's got their rock, let's not mix up.

A bit of scenery from the bike
Some cycling/walking paths were passing within grazing fields.
Tern foldable bicycles are really polyvalent: they can take dirt path without blinking
a natural clearing after a small part in a dense forest, and suddenly the path is no more.
I'm not sure how often this is used but OK…
Some of the farmstead reminded me of home a bit.
Do not mess with this bird!
Curious calves
Some old fisher houses (I think)
Swallows (or a local equivalent) enjoy some rest between mosquito hunts.
