Day 19

The surroundings of Gudhjem

Going toward the north side of Gudhjem, bit of harmonica on the piers, swimming in the sea and a quiet evening.

The day started with a heavy shower and a wind that was not quite right. Might as well, I wanted to have a better look at the surroundings of this village before leaving Bornholm. So, I waited patiently for the rain to stop, and then I set out with 2 harmonicas in my pocket and followed the north side of Gudhjem.

I stopped for a moment on the north harbour's pier (well, one of them), to seat and quietly played some harmonica before continuing walking. I went through a nice little path alongside the coast and followed it for a while until my stomach put an end to it and I doubled back.

After a quick lunch at the boat while trying to update a bit the logs, I went for a stroll in the village itself before going back to the pier on the north harbour for more harmonica and a swim.

A simple day, but quite enjoyable

The weather wasn't perfect for pictures, but the little town is really full of cute looking houses.

The north harbour (with many piers we can't see).

A part of the coastal path

In the afternoon, the weather was a bit better for pictures.

I heard a weird noise on the docks when walking toward Elvira. There was a tiny otter looking at me in a tunnel under the dock. I didn't want to scare them, so I tried to take a quick picture and tiptoed away.
