Day 10

Visiting Kalmar (and minor repairs)

I thought I would take my time to visit the castle, make a supply run, and try to fix a few small stuff. A day of rest sort of.

To the castle we go!

First stop on the agenda of the day: visit of the castle and its ground. On days like this I remember why I liked it in the north, jesus christ it was warm! But it was quite nice to observe the view from the castle and to walk around.

Right when I was out of the castle, I got a message from friends from GBK saying that they were passing in front right at that moment and I managed to actually get a decent picture of them (well from my phone).

Thou shall not pass!

not a bad view, ehh?

A light collation anyone?

I'm sure that's made for summer

The semi-failed supply run

I wanted something to fix my broken hand-made handle for the tiller, and I also wanted a well working headlamp. I still like the idea of trying night navigation and I think a good headlamp would be a good thing to see what I am doing in the dark...

But I didn't find all I wanted, no matter it will be for another time. In the meantime back to the boat, drop stuff, quick nap and out for a stroll in the nice old neihgbourhoud next to the harbour. There I found an organic bakery (or at least partially organic) and filled up on bread!

I managed to fix up a bit my tiller handle and that's nice. After that, a bit of guitar & harmonica in the boat before listening to a Q&A from my harmonica school online.

somehow I thought I had more pictures of that place but it appears I've misplaced them...
